A Bit Moore… About Our E-Comm Launch

It’s been a minute since we updated you on everything our all-star design team has been up to around here! For this week’s dose of design goodness, we’re treating you all to an update that feels… a bit overdue. We’re quickly rolling into the fall season and feel it’s time we more than hint at the development and launch of our e-commerce shop. It’s happening, people!! We’ve been talking about it for a while now, but it’s not a simple process so bear with us and get ready for another wild ride. We hope you enjoy these updates, and are getting as excited about this next chapter as we are.

The Collection — Creation, Curation + Process

Bespoke, original, And sustainable with MHD Flair.

We’re super super excited about the pieces we are planning to launch in early 2023. Yes, you heard that right — Only a few months away. As we’ve mentioned before on social, we pour hundreds of hours into each of our custom pieces. Over the last few years, custom furniture design has quickly grown to be a larger and larger segment of our workflow. Some of you may or may not know this, but we actually design anywhere from 3 to 15 completely custom pieces for any given project, making tweaks, and partner pieces for our clients as we move along. We care about the slightest of angles, most delicate of seam-lines, and of course the cozy-comfort factor… from wood stains to sustainable internal upholstery materials our team really pushes the limits of perfection. From vanities to light fixtures to loveseats we design whatever it takes to create layered, collected spaces tailor-made to our clients every wish. This bespoke part of our business is something that we have long-dreamt of making accessible to those outside our client list as well as fellows in the trade and we’re thrilled to be quickly approaching that moment with the launch of our e-commerce shop.

As for the pieces we’ll be launching with specifically in this curation, they’re our favorites of all time — The ones we can’t forget, and clients adore time and time again. As of right now that list includes the following, but we’ll likely be adding a few more to the final collection.

The Future of the Business

This sounds like a rather ominous section title, but it’s important to us to let you know what we’re doing! As you may recall hearing in our podcast interview with IDCO.studio — Our design firm, @moorehousedesign has always been a sister company with @moore.house and since this shop will be no small undertaking we felt it best to create a third sister by another name. Moore House Stays and Design will carry on as they are, so don’t worry! Business as usual, plus ‘a bit Moore’ because it’s just who we are.
We won’t drop the name of the shop/third sister just yet because we’re only in the early phases, but she’s going to be gorgeous no doubt. We’re entering this next chapter with so much excitement and definitely some nerves, but we know in our hearts this is going to be amazing!

Our Timeline +
Keeping You Updated

If all goes according to plan we’ll be launching our new brand and e-commerce shop by March of 2023. That said, Murphy’s law does exist and we have a relatively long road internally to get down with a lot of moving parts — but we’ll be updating you monthly on our progress to keep you all in the loop.

We’ll be providing further launch info, pre-order waitlist and lots of other updates on our “R” list as well as on social. The creation of a shop-only newsletter for our new brand is in the works so we can keep you informed as well as gauge prospective order numbers upon launch — some items will have a limited number due to vintage elements or antique materials. :)

That’s what we’ve got for you right now. We hope this will hold you over a little bit and hopefully we’ve answered some questions for you! If we missed something, or you have a question we didn’t cover please drop it in the comments or send us a DM on instagram! We look forward to hearing from you as always.
