The Roweam European Primitive Modern Collection designed by Moore House Design, product by ROWEAM, Photography by Zack DeZon
The Roweam European Primitive Modern Collection is composed for those who move through life with intention, who choose objects not for excess, but for meaning, texture, and quiet history.
Rooted in rural European craftsmanship and clarified through a modern lens, the collection balances contrast with ease. Brutalist weight meets Danish restraint. Mid-century modern forms are softened by honest materials, natural wear, and time-earned patina. Each piece is selected to contribute to a larger narrative of character and composure.
A Danish cabinetmaker sofa, reupholstered in Roweam’s sand fabric and finished with a tailored slipcovered cape, offers sculptural clarity tempered by lived-in softness.
Travertine side tables and a stone cube plinth introduce architectural calm—elemental forms that ground the space with weight and permanence.
French ladder-back chairs and Charles Dudouyt dining chairs reflect regional craftsmanship and Brutalist honesty, anchoring dining spaces in utility, proportion, and history.

THE CONCEPTION
European Primitive Modern interiors are defined by balance: between past and present, rawness and refinement, utility and beauty. This collection was hand-selected by Blair Moore for her love of true vintage.
“This collection is about restraint and intention. Every piece was chosen for its integrity — its material, its history, and the way it carries time. Nothing is decorative for the sake of it. The beauty comes from use, proportion, and what has been allowed to age honestly.”
From the carved wooden table lamp to the travertine forms and cabinetmaker upholstery, each piece was selected for its integrity of material and clarity of form. Every object has weight, purpose, and presence.
THE INSPIRATION
The collection draws from rural European interiors, mid-century ateliers, and the quiet strength of vernacular design. Influences span Brutalist construction, Danish cabinetmaking, French provincial seating, and the tactile simplicity of primitive forms.
Natural stones and sculptures were selected for their imperfections, veining, and geological honesty. Wood surfaces are carved, worn, and expressive, as seen in the hand-carved footstool and sculptural table lamp base. Iron and metal elements were selected to introduce strength, shadow, and depth.
THE PROCESS
This collection was assembled with the same reverence Roweam and Blair bring to each launch...prioritizing material truth, proportion, and longevity.
Every piece reflects craftsmanship that values the hand over the machine, form over fashion, and permanence over trend. Natural finishes are allowed to evolve. Materials are chosen for how they age.
WHY YOU?
This collection is for those who live deliberately. For those who value restraint over excess, history over novelty, and craftsmanship over convenience.
If you are drawn to interiors that feel collected over time, where Brutalist strength, Danish modernism, mid-century clarity, and rural European tradition coexist, this collection was selected, and made for you.
